Digital Media & Global Communication
The Digital Media & Global Communication program in the Cresskill School District encourages a critical understanding of past and present media technologies as well as the purpose media serves in local and global society. Students experience and evaluate media’s impact on contemporary culture, social situations, politics, and economics.
This program blends theory and practical training to help students experience web-based media, production work in digital video and audio, and multimedia as a communication tool. By visiting multiple, related disciplines, students develop creativity in problem-solving strategies.
By analyzing the historical significance and evolution of communication technology, students become more efficient consumers of twenty-first century participatory media. This program generates critical and analytical learners who are prepared to navigate the sea of mass media culture.
